Information:

Severn Glocon butterfly valve, 36 inches

Condition:

Due to backflow of gases in the furnace, the temperature surged above 400°C causing the Soft Seat (PTFE) to melt and the valve body to rust.

MOG’s Solutions:

• Disassembled the valve components;

• Machined and replaced the Soft Seat (PTFE) with a new one;

• Reassembled and tested the valve according to API 598.
