2-inch Globe Valve (#1500) Repair – Thuong Kontum Hydropower

Information:

2-inch globe valve, class #1500, used in the hydropower plant

Condition:

ANTI-CThe ANTI-CAV TRIM is completely damaged; the seat and plug are worn; packing is loose and the stem is scratched.

MOG’s Solutions:

• Removed the valve for inspection and identified the main cause of damage as cavitation and wear over time;

• Machined and replaced the ANTI-CAV TRIM assembly;

• Installed an additional disc at the inlet to reduce water pressure;

• Refurbished the stem, seat, and plug.
