Condition:

The control valve is stuck and leaking; the cage is scratched, damaging the plug and causing it to jam.

Actions Taken:

MOG’s Solutions:

• Removed the valve and inspected; found significant rust on the valve body;

• Cleaned the valve body, plug, cage, and seat;

• Machined the surface of the plug’s gasket and the O-ring surrounding the plug;

• Reassembled the valve and performed testing according to FCI 10-2 standards.
